Travel with the District Line
Now that you are familiar with the zones, stations, and fares, you can plan your journey with the help of Transport for London. Select your location and time of departure and input where you want to go.
Then, you can filter the results according to your preferences, whether you prefer the fastest routes, routes with few changes, and routes with the least walking.
Moreover, you can also choose the public transportation you wish to use, from buses to DLRs and Tubes.
The details on fares, stops, and times are already shown in the details of your journey, making it an easy commute via the District Line.
All you have to do is go to the District Line station and tap your card on the yellow card reader at the station entrance.
Afterward, look for the correct tube going to your destination and just wait for it to arrive.
Remember, you need to tap your card on the yellow card reader two times, once when entering and another one when exiting. If you forget to do this, you will have to pay the maximum fare.

What Do You Think about the District Line?
The District Line is like any other train or tube line around the world. What make’s it extra special are the places you get to explore in each station.
If you want to avoid the crowd, it is recommended to avoid the peak hours from 7:00 am to 9:00 am and 4:40 pm to 7:00 pm.
Traveling through the off-peak hours avoids rubbing shoulders with other people.
Even if it is not a crowded time, remember to always wait for the people to disembark first from the tube before entering. Keep in mind it is always a good idea to practice common train etiquette.
Did you find the District Line interesting? Share your thoughts below in the comments section. Don’t forget to share your tips and bits of advice as well with fellow travelers.
