What to Expect on Your Journey
Tips and Reminders
To pay for your ride, tap your Contactless Card, Oyster Card, or other payment cards upon entering the terminal.
Although cable cars are available every 30 seconds, you may have to line up and wait for about an hour or two, depending on the time, day, and season.
If you want to avoid long queues, it is recommended to come earlier or book a VIP Fast Track Experience.
Most of the passengers book a roundtrip ticket, so it may take a while before you can ride. If you are traveling alone, the staff may ask you to join other people in one cabin.
For the best experience, do not ride in the afternoon and summer season to avoid long lines.
Moreover, rainy days are not the most suitable times to ride since you won’t get clear views of the city and the cabin usually becomes moist.
Those with bicycles and wheelchairs need not worry as the cabins are accessible for both.
