The outdoor patio is shaded by colorful striped umbrellas and surrounded by tall shrubs that give the space an air of seclusion.

The tables are adorned with fresh flowers and plenty of sunlight filters in through the leaves above.

I had a lovely time at Bell & Crown. The food was good, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt comforting.

It’s not like anyone was playing with my hair, but it felt cozy—like I could see myself being there for hours.

The food we ordered was all excellent. My partner and I got the chicken pie and a plate of sausages and mash, and a side of peas with mint butter (omg).

Everything was well-seasoned, and the chicken pie was particularly delicious—flaky crust, nice amount of gravy inside, tender chicken.

The waiter who served us seemed to know quite a bit about beer, which is always a plus in my book.

Overall it’s a great spot if you’re in that area and are looking for some comfort food.

You’ve probably walked past The City Barge in Chiswick, United Kingdom, a million times and not even known it.

This pub has been around since the early 14th century, a short stroll from the tube station, but it’s still full of character and charm.

The City Barge is right on the banks of the Thames, so you can’t miss its cozy corner location.

There’s a riverfront garden and a sunny terrace that are perfect for enjoying the summer days (when they show up), or you can grab a spot inside by one of the huge windows.

The interior is decked out in wood paneling and wall nooks with vintage-looking portraits, giving it an old-school feel that doesn’t feel outdated —it just makes you feel like you’re hanging out at your cool grandpa’s house with a beer.

Speaking of which, the menu here is killer: everything from burgers to fried chicken to fish and chips to salads (for those whose New Year’s resolutions are still going strong).

There are plenty of beers on tap or by the bottle, wines to choose from, and cocktails if beer isn’t your thing. The City Barge also hosts events like comedy nights and poker schools.

The Old Pack Horse is a wonder. It’s got everything I love: a wide variety of drinks, a cozy atmosphere, and friendly bartenders who call me “Oi!” when I’m up at the bar trying to order another one.

Every time I go in, I can’t help but get the feeling that they’ve been around forever, in the best way possible. It feels like my neighborhood pub, where everyone knows your name, and you’re always welcome.

The high ceilings are lined with pictures of celebrities that have come to visit over the years, and there’s an old rocking horse near the door (where it gets its name) that I always try to sit on when I’m there.

Once you’re inside, you’ll feel at home for as long as you’re there. If you ever find yourself in Chiswick and need a place to grab a drink, this is it.

I have just spent a week at Betty Chiswick bar. It was my first time there, and I visited with my wife and two children (ages 11 and 12). We had a lovely time, and I would recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is well-situated in the center of town, very near the train station and many of the tourist attractions. It’s also within walking distance of a wide range of restaurants and shops so you won’t need to hire a car if you don’t want to.

We were on half board (breakfast and evening meal) which was included in the price we paid for our room.

The food was delicious – there were always vegetarian options for my wife as well as gluten-free bread for me – and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We took advantage of the hotel’s own swimming pool as well as the spa facilities (steam room, sauna, etc.). My wife enjoyed a massage while I made use of the gym. Both were excellent!

On our second night, we dined at their in-house restaurant, which served delicious food.

Overall we had an excellent stay and will definitely return next year!

I’ve been going to The Lamb for years, and I’m still not bored of it!

Their Sunday roast is absolutely to die for—the meat (obviously) is insanely flavourful and tender, their rosemary potatoes are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and their Yorkshire puddings are literally perfect. You can’t go wrong with the gravy, either:

The first time my mum came to The Lamb and tried it, she literally cried because it was so good.

Their salads are also amazing: I get the lamb salad every time because the meat perfectly complements the greens. And don’t even get me started on their desserts.

If you want to live your best life, order their chocolate mousse with raspberries—it’s beyond heavenly.

I could eat it every day and never get sick of it: It’s rich but the light at the same time and the berries add a nice touch of tartness that just makes it even more delicious!

What a great time! The food was great, the ambiance was pleasant, and the service was beautiful. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys eating out on their own.

The Old Ship Hammersmith is a hidden gem. Located in Chiswick, London, it’s the perfect place to grab a drink with friends or relax after a long day at work.

They offer a wide variety of drinks at great prices, and their snacks are delicious.

The bar is decorated to feel like an old ship, and the staff is friendly.

The Old Ship Hammersmith is a cozy little spot in the Chiswick neighborhood of London. Its name comes from the ship that once stood on the site of what became the bar, which was salvaged and turned into the bar’s decor.

It’s perfect for hanging out with friends, watching football (especially Arsenal Football Club), or playing pool. The Old Ship also serves food, including fish and chips, bangers and mash, and chicken curry.

23. The Union Chiswick

So I’m at this Bar, The Union, in London.

It’s a hipster joint—lots of exposed brick, reclaimed wood tables, and Edison bulbs hanging from the ceiling. They’ve got a great selection of cocktails and wine, and the bartender is super friendly and seems to really love his job.

There’s a light buzz of conversation around me, the chatter rising and falling as people sip their drinks and discuss their day.

The décor is nice but not overwhelming—it looks like they’ve just collected things they personally liked over time instead of designing it with any sort of theme in mind.

It’s a little hard to get your bearings here as you walk in since there are so many different directions you could go.

Small dining rooms branch off in every direction and a long bar to your right, Booths with plush leather seating up against one wall, as well as an outdoor patio for when the weather is nice.

But once you find your spot, it feels cozy and comfortable, like you could stay here for hours.

24. Boca London

It was almost like being transported to another world. While I would normally say that the atmosphere of a restaurant is something that is just part of the whole experience, at Boca, it’s a destination in and of itself.

I had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant recently and was impressed by every aspect of it from start to finish. When I walked in, I was greeted warmly by everyone who worked there and seated at a table for two immediately.

The atmosphere was so cozy, but with an air of relaxed elegance. The lighting was dim, and the seating was plush and comfortable.

The decor was simple but unique, with little touches here and there that added to the sense of whimsy that seemed to permeate throughout the space.

The staff were friendly yet professional and always available when needed. I ordered the Boca burger (what else?!) as well as a side of fries and a glass of wine.

Everything came out quickly, piping hot, perfectly seasoned. Just delicious! I couldn’t have been happier with my meal or more pleased with the service.

If you are looking for a fun place to take your next date or just want to enjoy some amazing food on your own, Chiswick is worth checking out!

Crown and Anchor is the best Bar in Chiswick. I know that sounds like a bold claim, but let me tell you why this place has earned it.

For starters, they have a dog who lives there. The bartender told me that the dog makes a circuit of the bar throughout the day and evening, visiting customers and wagging his tail at everyone.

I’m not sure what to say about the cocktails, except they are fantastic. I had an Old Fashioned, and it was made with such care—the bartender spent 5 minutes muddling, stirring, and squeezing for my drink—and it was so delicious.

They’ve got a dartboard on one wall, an impressive selection of whiskeys (more than 30 kinds), and an amazing menu of classic British pub food like shepherd’s pie.

I also had some fish and chips and was blown away by how much flavor they packed into each bite.
