I recently tried out Urban Pantry in Chiswick, London, and it was great. The food was fresh and tasty. Sandwich fillings were generous, high-quality ingredients with a wide range.
It’s not a large restaurant, with over 30 seats inside and six tables outside, which are difficult to book due to the high demand.
They also have a selection of exclusive teas and coffees; my favorite is coconut tea, making the meal feel complete! I went for one of their gourmet sandwiches: pressed sourdough bread with Parma ham, truffle cheese, spinach & rocket.
It was delicious! Everything tasted so fresh. They are also famous for their selection of sweet treats in the form of cupcakes; they offer four different types daily, but you can also request custom flavors (which I did!

You may have heard of Annie’s Restaurant—it’s been a mainstay in Chiswick for quite a long time, and it’s still going strong. I dropped by to see what they’ve got cooking up for the morning and afternoon crowds.
We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and Annie takes that sentiment seriously.
They’ve got something for everyone: traditional eggs benedict, smokey and savory breakfast sausage, fluffy pancakes, and even some lighter options like yoghurt parfaits if you’re looking to keep things a little more on the healthy side.
If you’re coming by for brunch, you’d better get there early—the line can get pretty long! (But it moves fast.)
They’ve got some fantastic smaller dishes on the menu if you aren’t ready for your second breakfast yet: pretzel knots with beer cheese sauce and spicy mustard; fried chicken bites served with remoulade sauce; deep-fried pickles; and so much more.
Each of their burgers comes loaded with toppings—I recommend the three-cheese burger with bacon jam, like a party in your mouth.
