How do I decide which artist is for me? Well with the help of Good Times, this decision can be easy. Simply fill out an application explaining what tattoo you would like, and Good Times will recommend you the best artist.

However, be prepared to wait as there is a very long waiting list!

I found their website an excellent source of information. They have a detailed FAQ and information on each artist, showing you their specialities and work.

If you would like to make an inquiry, you can call the studio and their reception staff will help you.

3. One Day Tattoo Studio

20 Arlington Way, London EC1R 1UY, United Kingdom

Style: Realism

When I visited the Instagram page of One Day Tattoo Studio, I was amazed at their realistic work! I am a huge fan of realism and can recognize exceptional talent, and that is exactly what the artists here are.

One Day was founded in 2015 by Máté Spanberger and has come a long way since then. Currently, with 4 artists, One Day has a friendly and clean environment.

Their realistic work is mostly done in black and white, however, there are some breathtaking pieces created in colour. There are also examples of geometric and fine line work on their Instagram page for those who aren’t interested in realism.

Visit their website to see their gallery of artwork, as there are some pieces here that are not on Instagram. You can also make bookings through their website, and find an informative FAQ.

Style: Realism

Tattoo Heroes is located in East London and currently offers you the option to choose from 11 different tattoo artists. Regardless of who you picked, you are guaranteed a friendly atmosphere and a clean environment.

Tattoo Heroes has some outstanding realistic work on their Instagram, but what was really spectacular in my opinion was their portraits. They have accurate portraits of 50 cents, Biggie Small, and someone’s child, all are breathtaking.

There are also some incredible tribal pieces displayed on their account if that is your preferred style of choice.

In my opinion, Tattoo Heroes is very reasonably priced, with an hourly rate of £100-£140, of course, this can vary for several reasons (colour, position, complexity, etc.) Also, if you fancy a spontaneous piercing while getting a tattoo, Tattoo Heroes offer this service too!

Bookings can be made online, or you can visit the store for a free consultation.

5. Vagabond Tattoo

The vagabond Tattoo parlour was opened in 2012 and offers a variety of different tattoo styles. Their Instagram shows off mostly blackwork and traditional style, but there is also some coloured work, line work and floral work.

Their website is easy to navigate and has an enquiry form to fill out if you have a query. There is no gallery on their website however, so I recommend you check out their Instagram page! There is a detailed FAQ, and also an online shop where you can purchase vouchers and merchandise.

Vagabond states that its aim is to create original work in a clean and safe environment. I recommend Vegabond to you for creating unique designs, no matter what style you prefer, as the artists here are very versatile.

6. Kings Cross Tattoo Parlor

Kings Cross Tattoo Parlor offers versatile and authentic designs. When I visited their Instagram page, the range of styles available stood out to me.

There are four different artists working here, offering black and white, colorful neo-trad, hyperrealism and eye-catching fine line tattoos.

Something else that stood out to me on their account was the smiles on all the customers’ faces. Everyone looked happy, comfortable and satisfied. I would definitely visit Kings Cross with confidence that I would leave with a smile.

Kings Cross also does animal portraits, so if you have a furry friend at home who you want to be with everywhere you go, then I would recommend them.

Kings Cross offers other services such as tattoo removal and piercings. You can also splurge on some trendy merchandise!

Cloak and Dagger was established in 2013 and currently has a whopping fifteen artists for you to choose from! However don’t be overwhelmed with options, the studio will listen to your tattoo idea and recommend which artist is perfect for you.

If your style is Japanese art, then Cloak and Dagger is the place for you! Their creations are full of colour, detail and talent.

Whether it’s your first tattoo, or you are an ink addict, Cloak and Dagger will make your experience one of a kind with their experienced artists, sterile environment and friendly atmosphere.

However, Japanese isn’t their only style, you can find artists who specialize in geometric work, script work  and black and grey. If you visit their website, you can choose which style you would like to see and all those designs will show up.

It’s a very organized website and easy to navigate. There is an option to submit your tattoo idea, and you will then receive a free consultation via email, which is very useful for those who otherwise would have to travel.

Style: Black and White, Color, Realism and Mandala

East Ink is a well-established business with three tattoo artists working there. Getting a tattoo is a personal and permanent decision, so you want to be confident in your choice of location. You are guaranteed cleanliness and friendliness if you choose East Ink.

Their realistic work really stood out to me, as I’ve mentioned before, this is my favourite style. They have excellent portraits of Harley Quinn, It (the clown) and Mick Mars.

Choosing an artist for a portrait is never an easy decision as it can easily be botched, but I would definitely choose East Ink for my tattoo.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw their low hourly rate of £100! I would have expected talent of this level to be £150+, so this is a great deciding factor. A full-day session will cost you £600, which again, is excellent pricing.

Make sure to check out not just their Instagram, but also their gallery on their website as there are so much more designs to see there.

Style: Fineline and Realism

If you prefer a more subtle tattoo, I would recommend K-Ink as they have some beautiful examples of fine line tattoos.

As I scrolled through their photos, I loved how original each tattoo was. A lot of them I had never seen before, or ever would have thought about before!

There are ten tattoo artists to choose from, however in order to book in you must contact the artist individually, rather than contacting the shop.

Each artist has a variety of flash tattoos, but also will work with you to design something more personalized. If you are unsure of who to choose, go to their website and have a look at each artist’s portfolio, or fill out a simple form and the shop will help you decide.

One thing, however, I found their website quite glitchy and annoying to use, but nevertheless, they are still an incredibly talented bunch who I would recommend!

10. Flamin Eight Tattoo

Style: Realism, Traditional and Japanese.

Flamin Eight has been tattooing since 1998 with four highly talented artists to choose from. They specialize in Japanese, realism, traditional and new school, but enjoy creating designs of all styles.

If you are interested in booking in, their waitlist list isn’t too long. Now don’t let this deceive you, they are hugely popular but they purposely keep their lists short, so you will have to wait a few weeks at the most.

To book in they would prefer you send an email enquiry, followed up with a phone call, or simply pay them a visit! Each artist has their own hourly rate specific to their skills.

Their website contains encouraging testimonies from previous clients, as well as a huge gallery of their past work.

So that is my Top 10 Tattoo Parlors in London! Reread this article thoroughly to ensure you make the correct decision. Keep in mind that in the tattoo business, talent costs money.

You get what you pay for, so sometimes going a bit higher in price is worth it. Saying that places with lower prices are still extremely talented.
